There were some people having issues with the new method, particularly Mac users. You now have the option to download using the old method. When the Java popup shows, click cancel, then click the “Use the old method instead!” link.
Or, if the popup doesn’t show, click the “Use the old method instead!” link on the page that shows what the popup should look like.

Hi Folks!

Now downloading YouTube videos is easier than ever. Simply download your video as usual – by copy and pasting the link. Then, instead of having to copy the source, now all you need to do is hit “Run” on the Java popup and bam! There are your links, named nicely and everything!

Just click Run to download your video!
